Evgeny Velikhov

Evgeny Velikhov, born on February second, nineteen thirty-five, was a prominent Russian physicist and scientific leader whose contributions significantly advanced the fields of plasma physics, lasers, controlled nuclear fusion, power engineering, and magnetohydrodynamics. His extensive research led to the publication of over one thousand five hundred scientific papers, alongside numerous inventions and discoveries that have had a lasting impact on science and technology.

Throughout his illustrious career, Velikhov held several prestigious positions, including the presidency of the Kurchatov Institute, an esteemed research facility named after the father of the Soviet atomic bomb, Igor Kurchatov.
