Faith Ringgold, born on October eighth, nineteen thirty, in Harlem, New York City, is a renowned American painter, author, and multimedia artist. She is celebrated for her innovative narrative quilts, which have become her signature art form. Ringgold's artistic journey began with her education at the City College of New York, where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees.
Throughout her career, Ringgold has been a passionate advocate for the representation of Black artists in the art world. As an art teacher in the New York City public school system, she inspired countless students while also creating works that delve into the complexities of family, race, class, and gender.
