Fantasia Monique Barrino-Taylor, known simply as Fantasia, is an acclaimed American singer and actress born on June 30, 1984. She first captured the public's attention in 2004 when she won the third season of American Idol, delivering a stunning rendition of the classic 'Summertime' from Porgy and Bess. This victory marked the beginning of her illustrious career, as she became the second artist ever to debut a first commercial single at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with her hit 'I Believe', which was the best-selling single in the United States that year.
