Farrukh Hormizd, born in the year five hundred fifty, emerged as a prominent military leader in northern Iran. His strategic prowess and ambition led him to challenge the established Iranian nobility, a move that ultimately resulted in a significant division of the country's resources.
His aspirations did not go unnoticed, and his boldness culminated in a fateful proposal to Azarmidokht, which was perceived as an attempt to usurp the Sasanian throne. This audacious act set the stage for his tragic downfall.
In a palace plot orchestrated by Azarmidokht, Farrukh Hormizd met his demise at the hands of Siyavakhsh. His life was cut short, but his legacy continued through his two children, Rostam Farrokhzad and Farrukhzad, who would carry forward his name and influence.
