Farrukhsiyar

Farrukhsiyar, born on August 20, 1685, was the tenth Mughal Emperor, reigning from 1713 until 1719. His ascent to the throne was marked by the deposition of his uncle, Jahandar Shah, a significant political maneuver that set the stage for his brief rule.

Despite holding the title of emperor, Farrukhsiyar's reign was characterized by a lack of real power. The effective governance of the empire was largely in the hands of the Sayyid brothers, two influential courtiers who wielded considerable influence over the administration.
