Fatima bint Musa

Fatima bint Musa, born on March twenty-first in the year seven hundred ninety, was a prominent theologian and a revered figure in Twelver Shia Islam. She was the sister of Ali al-Rida, who is recognized as the seventh and eighth Imams in the Twelver Shia tradition. Her familial ties to such significant religious leaders positioned her as an influential figure in her own right.

In the year eight hundred sixteen, a young Fatima embarked on a journey from her hometown of Medina to visit her brother al-Rida in Merv. Unfortunately, her travels were cut short when she fell ill along the way. She ultimately passed away in Qom, a city that is now part of modern-day Iran.

Fatima bint Musa is celebrated for her deep piety and devotion, qualities that have earned her a lasting legacy within the Twelver Shia community. Her shrine in Qom has become a major destination for pilgrimage, drawing countless visitors who seek to honor her memory and seek spiritual solace.
