She is best remembered for her iconic role as Ann Darrow in the classic nineteen thirty-three film King Kong, a performance that solidified her status as a pioneer in the horror genre.

Wray's journey in the film industry began when she gained media attention as one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars in nineteen twenty-six. This recognition led to a contract with Paramount Pictures during her teenage years, where she appeared in more than a dozen feature films, showcasing her versatility as an actress.

After her time at Paramount, Wray explored various opportunities with different film companies, taking on roles in a range of genres. Notable films from this period include The Bowery in nineteen thirty-three and Viva Villa! in nineteen thirty-four, both featuring the renowned actor Wallace Beery.
