Fayez al-Sarraj

Fayez al-Sarraj, born on February twentieth, nineteen sixty, is a prominent Libyan politician and architect. He is best known for his role as the Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya and as the head of the Government of National Accord, a position he held from two thousand sixteen until two thousand twenty-one.

Al-Sarraj's political career took a significant turn with the formation of the Government of National Accord on December seventeenth, two thousand fifteen, under the auspices of the Libyan Political Agreement. This government aimed to unify the country amidst ongoing conflict and political fragmentation.

In addition to his leadership role, Fayez al-Sarraj has been an active member of the Parliament of Tripoli, contributing to the political discourse and governance of Libya during a tumultuous period in its history.
