Fedor Emelianenko

Fedor Emelianenko, born on September 28, 1976, is a renowned Russian mixed martial artist, judoka, and sambist, who has left an indelible mark on the world of combat sports. His illustrious career began on May 21, 2000, where he quickly rose to prominence, achieving four consecutive victories before facing a controversial defeat in December of the same year. Over the next decade, Emelianenko would become a dominant force in MMA, remaining unbeaten in his first twenty-eight fights until June 2010.

Emelianenko's accolades are numerous and impressive. He was the PRIDE Heavyweight Champion from 2003 until the organization's closure in 2007, a four-time combat sambo world champion, and a seven-time national champion in combat sambo. Additionally, he earned two bronze medals in Russian national judo competitions. His fighting prowess has been showcased across various organizations, including RINGS, Strikeforce, M-1 Global, Rizin, and Bellator MMA, making him one of the most recognized fighters globally, despite never competing in the UFC.
