Felipe Melo de Carvalho, born on June 26, 1983, is a distinguished Brazilian former professional footballer who made his mark primarily as a defensive midfielder and centre-back. His football journey began in Brazil, where he showcased his talent with notable clubs such as Flamengo, Cruzeiro, and Grêmio.

In 2005, Felipe Melo ventured to Spain, where he played in La Liga for teams including Mallorca, Racing Santander, and Almería. His impressive performances caught the attention of Fiorentina, leading to a transfer that marked his entry into European football. In 2009, he made a significant move to Juventus for a transfer fee of twenty-five million euros, further solidifying his reputation in the sport.

Felipe Melo enjoyed a successful tenure at Galatasaray, where he participated in one hundred fifty-four matches and contributed to the club's triumphs, including three Süper Lig titles. After a brief return to Serie A with Inter Milan, he returned to Brazil in 2017, signing with Palmeiras.
