Ferdinand von Bredow

Ferdinand von Bredow, born on May sixteenth, eighteen eighty-four, was a notable figure in German military and political history. As a Generalmajor in the Reichwehr, he played a significant role in the military landscape of his time, particularly as the head of the Abwehr, the military intelligence service within the Reich Defence Ministry.

His political career saw him serve as the deputy defence minister in the cabinet of Kurt von Schleicher, a position that placed him at the heart of the tumultuous political environment of early Nazi Germany. Von Bredow's involvement in military intelligence positioned him as a key player during a period marked by intrigue and shifting allegiances.
