Fernando Chomali

Fernando Chomali, born on March tenth, nineteen fifty-seven, is a prominent Chilean Catholic prelate who has made significant contributions to the Church throughout his career. He currently serves as the Archbishop of Santiago de Chile, a position he has held since two thousand twenty-three.

Before his appointment in Santiago, Chomali was the Auxiliary Bishop of Santiago de Chile from two thousand six to two thousand eleven. His leadership skills and dedication to his faith led him to become the Archbishop of Concepción, a role he fulfilled from two thousand eleven until two thousand twenty-three.

In recognition of his service and commitment to the Catholic Church, he was elevated to the rank of cardinal in two thousand twenty-four, marking a significant milestone in his ecclesiastical journey.
