Fernando Sor, born on February thirteenth, seventeen seventy-eight, was a distinguished Spanish classical guitarist and composer who made significant contributions during the late Classical and early Romantic eras. His prolific output includes a diverse array of compositions, such as an opera composed at the tender age of nineteen, three symphonies, guitar duos, piano pieces, songs, a Mass, and at least two successful ballets: Cinderella, which enjoyed over one hundred performances, and Hercule et Omphale.
