Filip Ingebrigtsen, born on April 20, 1993, in Sandnes, Norway, is a distinguished middle-distance runner who proudly represents Sandnes Idrettslag. His athletic journey has been marked by significant achievements, including becoming the European Champion in the 1500 meters at the 2016 European Championships held in Amsterdam.
Ingebrigtsen's prowess on the track continued to shine as he secured a bronze medal in the same distance at the World Championships in London in 2017. He set a remarkable Norwegian record for the 1500 meters with a time of three minutes and thirty seconds and one hundred milliseconds during a Diamond League meet in Monaco on July 20, 2018.
In 2019, at the London Diamond League, he showcased his talent by finishing second in the mile, clocking in at three minutes and forty-nine seconds and sixty milliseconds, which also marked a national record and a new personal best.
