Florian Thauvin

Florian Thauvin, born on January 26, 1993, is a distinguished French professional footballer who currently plays as a right winger for Ligue 1 club Lens and the France national team. His journey in professional football began with Grenoble in 2011, where he showcased his talent and quickly made a name for himself.

After a successful stint at Grenoble, Thauvin moved to Bastia, where he celebrated winning the Ligue 2 title in his debut season and earned the accolade of Young Player of the Year the following year. His impressive performances caught the attention of Olympique de Marseille, who signed him for a transfer fee of fifteen million euros in 2017. During his time at Marseille, he made over 281 appearances and netted 86 goals, solidifying his status as a key player for the club, despite a brief period at Newcastle United in the Premier League.

In June 2021, Thauvin took his talents to Mexico, joining Tigres UANL, where he made 38 league appearances. His career then took him to Italy, as he signed with Udinese in January 2023, continuing to demonstrate his skills on an international stage.

Thauvin's contributions to the French national team are noteworthy. He earned thirty caps and scored fourteen goals across various youth levels, culminating in a victory at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He made his senior debut in June 2017 and was part of the squad that triumphed in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
