Floyd Martin

Floyd Martin, born on June 26, 1929, was a distinguished Canadian ice hockey player whose athletic prowess shone brightly on the international stage. He represented Canada in two Winter Olympics, earning a bronze medal in 1956 and a silver medal in 1960, showcasing his talent as a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen.

Throughout his career, Martin played for notable teams such as the Johnstown Jets and the Pittsburgh Hornets. His dedication to the sport was evident as he participated in two hundred and five matches in the Eastern Hockey League and made two appearances in the American Hockey League, leaving a lasting impact on the teams he played for.

After retiring from professional hockey, Martin transitioned to a new chapter in his life, selling cars in Waterloo. He eventually returned to his hometown, where he continued to be a beloved figure in the community.
