France Daigle

France Daigle, born on November eighteenth, nineteen fifty-three, is a distinguished Canadian author of Acadian descent, hailing from Moncton, New Brunswick. With a prolific career as a journalist, novelist, playwright, writer, and poet, she has made significant contributions to the literary landscape, publishing nine novels and three plays. Daigle is known for her innovative use of Chiac in dialogue, while her narration remains rooted in standard French.

Throughout her career, Daigle has received numerous accolades for her literary works. Notably, she was honored with the France-Acadie award in nineteen ninety-nine for her novel Pas Pire and the Éloize award in two thousand two for Un fin passage. Her collaboration with the avant-garde theatre company Moncton Sable resulted in three compelling plays, showcasing her versatility as a writer. Additionally, she served as a writer in residence at the University of Ottawa, further solidifying her influence in the literary community.

In two thousand eleven, Daigle was awarded the Lieutenant-Governor's Award for High Achievement in the Arts, recognizing her contributions to French Language Literary Arts.
