Francesca Michielin

Francesca Michielin, born on February 25, 1995, is an accomplished Italian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and television presenter. She gained widespread recognition after winning the fifth season of the Italian talent show X Factor, where she made history as the first female winner to debut at the top of the Italian Singles Charts with her first single, "Distratto." Since then, she has released five studio albums and numerous successful singles, achieving four number one hits on the Italian singles chart and selling over one million three hundred thousand copies in Italy.

Her debut album, "Riflessi di me," was launched in October 2012, featuring the lead single "Sola." Michielin's career continued to flourish with notable collaborations alongside Italian rapper Fedez, producing hits like "Cigno nero" and "Magnifico" between 2013 and 2014. She followed up with the albums "di20" in 2015 and "2640" in 2018, delivering popular tracks such as "L'amore esiste," "Nessun grado di separazione," "Vulcano," and "Io non abito al mare." In 2020, she released her fourth studio album, "Feat (stato di natura)," with the lead single "Cheyenne," and in 2023, she introduced her latest work, "Cani sciolti."

Francesca has also made her mark in the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival, securing second place in 2016 with "Nessun grado di separazione" and again in 2021 with "Chiamami per nome," a duet with Fedez. She represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 and has received nominations for various awards, including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Italian Act and the David di Donatello for her original song "Nei tuoi occhi."

In addition to her musical endeavors, Michielin has collaborated with a range of Italian artists, including Måneskin, Giorgia, and Elisa. In 2022, she ventured into literature with her debut novel, "Il cuore è un organo," and took on hosting duties for the docu-series "Effetto serra" as well as new seasons of X Factor, showcasing her versatility and talent across multiple platforms.
