Francesco Acerbi

Francesco Acerbi, born on February 10, 1988, is an accomplished Italian professional footballer renowned for his role as a centre-back. Currently, he plays for Serie A club Inter Milan and represents the Italy national team. Acerbi is celebrated for his formidable strength, hard-tackling skills, and impressive aerial ability, making him a key figure in defensive play.

Acerbi's football journey began in 2006 with Pavia, a fifth-tier club, where he honed his skills before moving to Serie B side Reggina in 2010. His career took a significant turn in 2011 when he joined Serie A club Chievo through a co-ownership transfer agreement involving Genoa, valued at two million euros. After a brief stint with AC Milan in 2012, he returned to Chievo on loan in 2013, again through a co-ownership deal with Genoa.

In a pivotal moment in his career, Acerbi signed with Sassuolo, a newly-promoted Serie A club, but faced a challenging setback as he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, which sidelined him for his debut season.
