Francesco Rutelli

Francesco Rutelli, born on June fourteenth, nineteen fifty-four, is a prominent Italian journalist and former politician. He has held significant roles in the cultural and political landscape of Italy, currently serving as the president of ANICA, the National Association of Film and Audiovisual Industry, since October two thousand sixteen, and was re-elected for the two thousand twenty to two thousand twenty-two term. In addition, he is the legal representative of the Italian Audiovisual Market (MIA) and chairs the Centro per un Futuro Sostenibile, a bipartisan think tank focused on climate change and environmental issues.

Rutelli's political career is marked by his tenure as the Mayor of Rome from nineteen ninety-four to two thousand one, and as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Tourism in Prime Minister Romano Prodi's second cabinet from two thousand six to two thousand eight. He was also the president of the centrist party Democracy is Freedom – The Daisy from two thousand two to two thousand seven, and co-president of the European Democratic Party for fifteen years, contributing to centrist politics across Europe.

In addition to his political endeavors, Rutelli has been actively involved in various cultural initiatives.
