Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of François Gravel

François Gravel, born on October twenty-fifth, nineteen fifty-one, is a distinguished Canadian writer hailing from Quebec. Renowned primarily for his contributions to children's literature and young adult fiction, Gravel has also ventured into the realm of adult novels, showcasing his versatility as a storyteller.

An alumnus of the Université du Québec à Montréal, where he graduated with a degree in economics, Gravel dedicated a significant portion of his career to education. He taught economics at Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu until two thousand six, influencing many students with his insights and passion for the subject.

Gravel's personal life is intertwined with the literary world; he is the partner of fellow writer Michèle Marineau and the proud father of Élise Gravel, who has made her mark as a writer and illustrator. His most recent work, titled À vos ordres, colonel Parkinson!, draws inspiration from his own journey with Parkinson's disease. This poignant narrative is also available in English as Colonel Parkinson in Charge: A Wry Reflection on My Incurable Illness, translated by Shelley Pomerance and published by House of Anansi Press in two thousand twenty-three.

Throughout his career, many of Gravel's works have been translated into English, with notable translations by Sheila Fischman, further expanding his reach and impact in the literary community.
