Frank De Winne, born on April twenty-fifth, nineteen sixty-one, is a distinguished Belgian Air Component officer and a prominent astronaut with the European Space Agency (ESA). He holds the honor of being Belgium's second individual to venture into space, following in the footsteps of Dirk Frimout.
De Winne made history as the first ESA astronaut to command a space mission, leading the ISS Expedition twenty-one. His leadership and expertise in space exploration have set a benchmark for future missions and have inspired many in the field.
