Frank Farian

Franz Reuther, born on July 18, 1941, and known to the world as Frank Farian, was a prominent German record producer and singer whose influence on the music industry is undeniable. He is best remembered for founding the iconic disco-pop group Boney M. in the 1970s, a band that captivated audiences with their infectious rhythms and catchy melodies.

In addition to Boney M., Farian was instrumental in the creation of several other successful pop acts, including No Mercy and the controversial Milli Vanilli. His innovative approach often involved assembling vocal groups where the publicized members would lip-sync to tracks performed by himself or other session musicians, a practice that sparked both acclaim and criticism.
