Frank Kehoe

Frank Kehoe, born on February 8, 1882, in Chicago, Illinois, was a remarkable American athlete known for his prowess in diving and water polo. He trained and competed for the prestigious Chicago Athletic Club, where he honed his skills under the guidance of renowned coach John Robinson, particularly excelling in water polo.

Kehoe's athletic journey began in his teenage years, and by the age of sixteen, he was already making waves in the competitive scene. He was set to compete in a swimming and water polo match for the William Hale Thompson Water Polo Cup on July 23, 1898, showcasing his early talent and dedication to the sport.

In February 1902, Kehoe played as a right forward for a Naval Reserve team, where he made a significant impact by scoring two goals against the Homestead Library Athletic Club during the first game of a Chicago area Interstate Championship, leading his team to a resounding victory of eight to one.

His athletic achievements culminated in 1904 when he represented the United States at the St. Louis Olympics. There, Kehoe earned a bronze medal in the diving competition and a silver medal in water polo, solidifying his legacy as a distinguished athlete in American sports history.
