Franz Delitzsch

Franz Delitzsch, born on February twenty-third, eighteen thirteen, was a prominent German Lutheran theologian and Hebraist whose contributions to biblical scholarship are widely recognized. His extensive body of work includes numerous commentaries on various books of the Bible, explorations of Jewish antiquities, and insightful writings on Biblical psychology.

Delitzsch is perhaps best known for his remarkable translation of the New Testament into Hebrew, completed in eighteen seventy-seven. This significant achievement, along with his collaborative series of commentaries on the Old Testament with Carl Friedrich Keil, solidified his reputation as a leading figure in theological studies.
