Franz Pfnür

Franz Pfnür, born on November twenty-first, nineteen oh eight, in Schellenberg, was a distinguished German alpine skier known for his remarkable achievements in the sport.

His most notable accomplishment came during the 1936 Winter Olympics, where he showcased his exceptional skills by winning the gold medal in the alpine skiing combined event. This victory not only solidified his status as a top athlete but also marked a significant moment in the history of alpine skiing.

In recognition of his outstanding performance, Pfnür was later invited to meet Adolf Hitler at his mountain retreat in Obersalzberg, a testament to the prominence he gained through his athletic prowess.
