Fred VanVleet

Fredderick Edmund VanVleet Sr., born on February 25, 1994, is a prominent American professional basketball player currently showcasing his talents with the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association (NBA). In addition to his on-court achievements, he holds the esteemed position of president of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), advocating for the rights and interests of players.

VanVleet's basketball journey began at Wichita State University, where he played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Wichita State Shockers basketball program. His contributions were instrumental during the 2012–13 season, which saw the team reach the Final Four, and he was part of the squad that achieved an undefeated regular season in 2013–14. Notably, he stands as the all-time assists leader for Wichita State and earned the title of MVC Men's Basketball Player of the Year during both his sophomore and senior years.

Despite going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft, VanVleet's determination led him to sign with the Toronto Raptors.
