Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Freddie Gibbs

Fredrick Jamel Tipton, known professionally as Freddie Gibbs, was born on June 14, 1982. He is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who has made significant strides in the music industry. Gibbs first signed with Interscope Records in 2006, where he recorded his debut album. Unfortunately, due to executive changes at the label, the album's release was canceled, and he was subsequently dropped.

In 2011, Gibbs joined Young Jeezy's CTE World, where he released several mixtapes, including the critically acclaimed 'Baby Face Killa' in 2012. After parting ways with CTE in early 2013, he established his own record label, ESGN, and released his debut studio album, 'ESGN,' in June of that year.

His subsequent albums, 'Shadow of a Doubt' in 2015 and 'You Only Live 2wice' in 2017, received positive reviews, although they had a lukewarm commercial performance. The 2018 commercial mixtape 'Freddie' marked a turning point, garnering critical acclaim and leading to his signing with Warner Records in 2020. His fourth album, 'Soul Sold Separately,' released in 2022, peaked at number eleven on the Billboard 200, while his fifth studio album, 'You Only Die 1nce,' released in 2024, also made it onto the charts.

In addition to his solo work, Gibbs has collaborated on five albums, including two with Madlib: 'Piñata' in 2014 and 'Bandana' in 2019, as well as three with the Alchemist: 'Fetti' in 2018, 'Alfredo' in 2020, and 'Alfredo 2' in 2025. Notably, 'Alfredo' was nominated for Best Rap Album at the sixty-third Annual Grammy Awards. His guest appearance on the 2024 song 'Back to Me' by ¥$ (Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign) marked his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number twenty-six, although he remains uncredited on the official version.
