Frederic Cloutier

Frederic Cloutier, born on May fourteenth, nineteen eighty-one, is a distinguished Canadian-born Italian professional ice hockey goaltender. Currently, he showcases his skills with HC Merano in the Alps Hockey League, where his performance continues to impress fans and teammates alike.

Despite being undrafted by any National Hockey League (NHL) team, Cloutier made a significant mark in the sport by playing for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. His talent caught the attention of the New York Islanders, leading to a contract signed on January fifth, two thousand six, which allowed him to spend the remainder of that season with the team.

Cloutier's international experience includes representing Canada at the prestigious Spengler Cup held in Switzerland. His journey took a new turn when he married an Italian woman, which led him to obtain Italian citizenship. Since two thousand sixteen, he has proudly donned the Italian national jersey, competing on the international stage.
