Frédéric Vasseur

Frédéric Vasseur, born on May twenty-eight, nineteen sixty-eight, is a prominent figure in the world of motorsport, recognized for his multifaceted roles as an engineer, team manager, and chief executive officer. His career has been marked by significant achievements in Formula One, where he currently serves as the team principal of Ferrari, a position he assumed in two thousand twenty-three.

Raised in Paris, Vasseur pursued his passion for automotive engineering at ESTACA. His journey in motorsport began in nineteen ninety-six when he founded ASM, leading the team to numerous national and continental Formula Three championships. In two thousand four, he partnered with Nicolas Todt to establish ART Grand Prix, where they celebrated back-to-back victories in the GP2 Series with notable drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton in two thousand five and two thousand six, respectively.

Vasseur's career took a pivotal turn in two thousand sixteen when he became the first team principal of Renault upon their return to Formula One. After a brief tenure, he joined Sauber in two thousand seventeen, where he spent six seasons, later known as Alfa Romeo. Under his leadership, Ferrari has achieved remarkable success, securing victories at six Grands Prix as of the two thousand twenty-six Japanese Grand Prix.

In addition to his team management roles, Vasseur founded Spark Racing Technology in two thousand thirteen, which became the official chassis constructor for Formula E during its inaugural season. The company has since developed several models, including the SRT_01E, SRT05e, Gen3, and Gen3 Evo, and holds the license for Extreme E, producing the Odyssey 21 since two thousand twenty-one.
