Frederick of Saxony

Frederick of Saxony is a name that resonates through the annals of history, representing a lineage of influential rulers who shaped the region of Saxony. Among them, Frederick I, known as Frederick the Belligerent, ruled from fourteen hundred twenty-two until fourteen hundred twenty-eight, leaving a mark as a formidable leader during his time.

Following him was Frederick II, or Frederick the Gentle, who governed from fourteen hundred twenty-eight to fourteen hundred sixty-four. His reign was characterized by a more peaceful approach, contrasting with his predecessor's militaristic tendencies.

Frederick III, also known as Frederick the Wise, took the helm from fourteen hundred eighty-six to fifteen hundred twenty-five. He is particularly noted for his protection of Martin Luther, a pivotal figure in the Protestant Reformation, which had lasting effects on Christianity.

Finally, Frederick Christian, who ruled for a brief seventy-four days in seventeen sixty-three, and Frederick Augustus I of Saxony, who held the title of elector and king from seventeen sixty-three to eighteen twenty-seven, along with Frederick Augustus II, King of Saxony from eighteen thirty-six to eighteen fifty-four, and Frederick Augustus III, King of Saxony from nineteen hundred four to nineteen eighteen, complete this illustrious lineage.
