Frederick W. Sturckow

Frederick W. Sturckow, born on August eleventh, nineteen sixty-one, is a distinguished engineer and retired United States Marine Corps officer. His remarkable career includes serving as a NASA astronaut and a commercial spacecraft pilot, showcasing his dedication to advancing human space exploration.

Sturckow is celebrated for his impressive record of four Space Shuttle missions and six suborbital flights with Virgin Galactic, making him the individual with the most space launches as of November twenty twenty-five. His notable missions include piloting STS-88 and STS-105, as well as commanding STS-117 and STS-128, all of which successfully docked with the International Space Station.

As one of only three American astronauts to visit the International Space Station four times, Sturckow's contributions to space travel are significant. After his time in space, he served as a CAPCOM at the Johnson Space Center, furthering his impact on the field.
