Frederick Walter Hyndman, born on February thirteenth, nineteen oh four, in Charlottetown, was a prominent insurance company executive and political figure in Prince Edward Island. He was the son of Walter Eardley Hyndman and Winnifred Sarah Cotton, and he received his education at Prince of Wales College.

However, his political career took a significant turn when he was appointed as the eighteenth Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island, a position he held from March nineteen fifty-eight to August nineteen sixty-three.
