Frida Karlsson

Frida Karlsson, born on August 10, 1999, is a remarkable Swedish cross-country skier and athletics competitor. She has made a significant mark in the world of skiing, particularly during the 2019 FIS World Championships held in Seefeld in Tirol, Austria. There, she showcased her exceptional talent by winning a silver medal in the women's 10 km classical event, a bronze in the women's 30 km freestyle mass start, and a gold medal as part of the women's 4 × 5 km relay team. This achievement made her the youngest cross-country skiing World Cup gold medalist in history.

In recognition of her potential, Karlsson was awarded a prize of fifty thousand Swedish kronor in April 2018, presented by former skier Johan Olsson and a bank. This accolade not only highlighted her promise as a skier but also provided her with the invaluable opportunity to be mentored by Olsson, further enhancing her skills and career.
