G.E.M.

G.E.M., born Tang Tsz-kei on August 16, 1991, is a prominent Hong Kong singer-songwriter and actor, celebrated for her exceptional vocal talent and diverse musical style. Originally from Shanghai, she was raised in Hong Kong, where she has become a leading figure in Chinese popular music, captivating audiences across the Greater China region.

Her career took off in 2008 with the release of her self-titled Cantonese extended play under Hummingbird Music, which earned her the gold award for best newcomer at three major award ceremonies in Hong Kong. G.E.M.'s debut studio album, 18..., released in 2009, was a commercial success, recorded in both Mandarin and Cantonese, and recognized as one of the top ten best-selling records in the territory that year.

In 2012, her album Xposed was named the best-selling Mandarin album of the year, making her the youngest nominee for Best Female Mandarin Singer at the Golden Melody Awards. G.E.M. gained widespread recognition after her participation in the Chinese singing competition I Am a Singer 2 in 2014, which significantly boosted her popularity.
