Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Gabriel Loubier

Gabriel Loubier, born on September twenty-seventh, nineteen thirty-two, in Black Lake, Quebec, was a prominent Canadian lawyer and politician. He pursued his legal studies at Laval University and was admitted to the Quebec bar in nineteen fifty-eight. Loubier's political career began in nineteen sixty-two when he was elected to represent Bellechasse in the Quebec legislature.

Throughout his career, Loubier held significant positions, including serving as the minister of tourism and fishing from nineteen sixty-six to nineteen seventy, and as the minister responsible for youth and sport from nineteen sixty-eight to nineteen seventy. His leadership journey took a pivotal turn in June nineteen seventy-one when he won the Union Nationale leadership convention, defeating Marcel Masse on the third ballot, and subsequently became the leader of the opposition.

Under Loubier's leadership, the Union Nationale temporarily rebranded as Unité Québec from October twenty-fifth, nineteen seventy-one, to January fourteenth, nineteen seventy-three. However, the party faced challenges in the nineteen seventy-three election, failing to secure any seats, which led to Loubier stepping down as leader of the opposition and resigning as party leader in March nineteen seventy-four.

Beyond politics, Loubier was involved in the business sector, serving on the board of directors for Megantic Metal and various steel industry firms. In nineteen eighty-five, he inherited control of the family business, Loubier Metal, from his father. Gabriel Loubier passed away on October first, twenty twenty-five, at the age of ninety-three.
