Gabriela Michetti

Gabriela Michetti, born on May twenty-eighth, nineteen sixty-five, is a prominent Argentine politician known for her significant contributions to the country's political landscape. She served as the Vice President of Argentina from two thousand fifteen to two thousand nineteen during the administration of Mauricio Macri, making her the second woman to hold this esteemed position, following Isabel Perón.

A member of the Republican Proposal and Cambiemos, Michetti's political career began to flourish when she was appointed Deputy Chief of Government in Buenos Aires from two thousand seven to two thousand nine. She then transitioned to the national stage, serving as a National Deputy from two thousand nine to two thousand thirteen, before becoming a National Senator for the City of Buenos Aires from two thousand thirteen until her vice presidency in two thousand fifteen.

Ideologically, Michetti is recognized as a conservative and identifies as a Catholic. Her political lineage is notable; she is a great-grandniece of former Argentine president Arturo Umberto Illia, which adds a historical dimension to her political identity.
