Gaétan Proulx

Gaétan Proulx, born on May twenty-seventh, nineteen forty-seven, in Saint-Denis-de-Brompton, Quebec, has dedicated his life to the service of the Roman Catholic Church. He became a Professed Member of the Order of Servants of Mary on September fifth, nineteen sixty-nine, marking the beginning of his spiritual journey.

After years of commitment and preparation, Proulx was ordained as a priest on June eighth, nineteen seventy-five. His devotion to his faith and community has been evident throughout his ministry, leading him to significant roles within the Church.

On December twelfth, two thousand eleven, he was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as the Auxiliary Bishop of Québec, Canada, and Titular Bishop of Azura in North Africa. This appointment highlighted his leadership and dedication to the Catholic community.

Proulx's consecration was a momentous occasion, with Bishops Paul Lortie of Mont-Laurier and Gilles Lemay of Amos serving as his principal consecrators, further solidifying his position within the Church hierarchy.
