Gavin Bazunu

Gavin Bazunu, born on February twentieth, two thousand and two, is an accomplished Irish professional footballer who excels as a goalkeeper. Currently, he plays for EFL Championship club Stoke City, where he is on loan from Southampton, another club in the same league. In addition to his club commitments, Bazunu proudly represents the Republic of Ireland national team.

His football journey began at Shamrock Rovers, where he made a significant impact by debuting for the first team in June two thousand eighteen at just sixteen years of age. This early start laid the foundation for his promising career, leading him to join Manchester City in February two thousand nineteen.

During his time with Manchester City, Bazunu gained valuable experience through several loan spells. He spent the 2020–21 season at Rochdale, followed by a successful loan at Portsmouth during the 2021–22 season. More recently, he had a half-season loan at Standard Liège from Southampton, further honing his skills on the international stage.

As an Irish youth international, Bazunu's talent was evident early on, and he made his senior international debut in two thousand twenty-one, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.
