Gene Hoglan, born on August 31, 1967, is a renowned American drummer celebrated for his exceptional contributions to the world of metal music. Best known for his role as the drummer for the thrash metal band Dark Angel, Hoglan has also made significant impacts in bands such as Testament, Death, and Strapping Young Lad. His innovative approach to drum arrangements, characterized by the use of abstract percussion effects and intricate double-kick rhythms, has earned him the monikers 'The Atomic Clock' and 'Human Drum Machine'.

Hoglan's career took off in the 1980s with Dark Angel, where he first showcased his remarkable drumming skills.
