Geoffrey Rush

Geoffrey Rush, born on July 6, 1951, is a distinguished Australian actor celebrated for his remarkable versatility in both stage and screen performances. He is renowned for his ability to embody eccentric characters, earning him a plethora of prestigious awards, including an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Tony Award. This remarkable achievement makes him the only Australian to attain the Triple Crown of Acting, alongside three BAFTA Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. In 2012, he was honored as the Australian of the Year and serves as the founding president of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts.

Rush's journey in the world of acting began in 1971 with the Queensland Theatre Company. His dedication to the craft led him to study at the L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq for two years starting in 1975. He has graced international stages with his performances in acclaimed productions such as Oleanna, Waiting for Godot, The Winter's Tale, and The Importance of Being Earnest.
