George Alencherry

George Alencherry, born on April nineteenth, nineteen forty-five, is a distinguished Catholic priest and bishop who has made significant contributions to the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. His journey in ecclesiastical leadership began when he was elected by the Holy Synod to serve as the Major Archbishop in two thousand eleven, succeeding Varkey Vithayathil, who held the position from nineteen ninety-nine to two thousand eleven.
