George Inness

George Inness, born on May first, eighteen twenty-five, was a prominent American landscape painter whose influence resonates through the art world even today. Initially inspired by the Hudson River School, Inness's artistic journey took him across Europe, where he delved into the works of the Old Masters and the Barbizon school. It was during these travels that he encountered the spiritual teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg, which profoundly impacted his later works.
