George Kennedy

George Harris Kennedy Jr., born on February 18, 1925, was a distinguished American actor whose career spanned over six decades, featuring in more than one hundred film and television productions. He is perhaps best remembered for his iconic role as Dragline in the classic film Cool Hand Luke, released in nineteen sixty-seven, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and received a nomination for a Golden Globe.

He garnered a second Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of Joe Patroni in the film Airport, released in nineteen seventy.
