George Kobaladze, born on May twenty-fourth, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished Georgian–Canadian weightlifter renowned for his remarkable achievements in the super-heavyweight category, specifically in the +105 kg class. His career is highlighted by a gold medal and record-setting performances in the clean and jerk and total at the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, Scotland.

In addition to his Commonwealth success, Kobaladze has earned multiple silver medals at prestigious events, including the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Ontario, and the Pan American Championships in both Isla Margarita, Venezuela, and Antigua Guatemala. His competitive spirit has also led him to secure bronze medals at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, and the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.

A seven-time Canadian champion, Kobaladze has been recognized as Canada's Best Male Lifter five times, with accolades spanning from two thousand nine to two thousand fourteen. He holds the Canadian records in the superheavyweight class, achieving a lift of one hundred seventy-five kg in the snatch and two hundred twenty-seven kg in the clean and jerk, culminating in a total of four hundred two kg at the 2014 Canadian Championships in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Notably, Kobaladze made history as the first Canadian weightlifter to lift five hundred pounds in the clean and jerk and to surpass the four hundred kg mark in total lifts.
