George Lucas

George Walton Lucas Jr., born on May 14, 1944, is a renowned American filmmaker and philanthropist, celebrated for creating iconic franchises such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones. He founded several influential companies, including Lucasfilm, LucasArts, Industrial Light & Magic, and THX, and served as chairman of Lucasfilm until its acquisition by the Walt Disney Company in 2012. After graduating from the University of Southern California in 1967, Lucas co-founded American Zoetrope with Francis Ford Coppola in San Francisco.
