George Mosse

George Mosse, born on September twentieth, nineteen eighteen, was a prominent German-born, Jewish-American historian renowned for his insightful explorations of modern social and cultural history. His journey began in Nazi Germany, where he faced persecution due to his Jewish heritage, prompting his emigration first to Great Britain and subsequently to the United States.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mosse held esteemed positions as a professor of history at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Iowa and the University of Wisconsin–Madison, as well as the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. His academic contributions significantly shaped the understanding of Nazism and its cultural implications.
