He is best known for his epic series, A Song of Ice and Fire, which has captivated readers worldwide and inspired the acclaimed television adaptation, Game of Thrones, along with its prequel series, House of the Dragon, which began airing in 2022.

In addition to his monumental works, Martin has penned a series of novellas titled Tales of Dunk and Egg, which are set in the same universe and are being adapted by HBO into the upcoming series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, slated for release in 2026.
