His prowess on the bike earned him the title of two-time national cyclo-cross champion and two-time world champion road bicycle racer.

He triumphed in the nineteen twenty-five Liège–Bastogne–Liège and the nineteen twenty-seven Paris–Roubaix. Additionally, he claimed victory in the Bordeaux–Paris race during the years nineteen twenty-seven, nineteen twenty-nine, and nineteen thirty, showcasing his versatility and endurance.

In nineteen twenty-eight, Ronsse achieved a historic milestone by winning his first world championship title in Budapest, finishing with an astonishing lead of nineteen minutes and forty-three seconds over the second-placed Herbert Nebe.
