Georgi Bliznashki

Georgi Bliznashki, born on October fourth, nineteen fifty-six, is a notable Bulgarian politician and university teacher. He gained prominence in the political arena when he served as the Prime Minister of Bulgaria in two thousand fourteen, leading a caretaker government during a pivotal time in the country's history.

A member of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Bliznashki's political journey saw him expelled from the party in two thousand fourteen. His career in politics began earlier, as he served as a Member of the National Assembly from nineteen ninety-one to nineteen ninety-four and again from two thousand five to two thousand nine.

In addition to his national roles, Bliznashki represented Bulgaria on the European stage as an Observer and Member of the European Parliament from two thousand five to two thousand seven.
